About Katie Allen
I'm a follower of Christ, wife and mom to three great kids. I have an amazing husband who agreed to let me stay at home and raise our wonderful blessings, while he spends his days educating kids on the world of science. I love the written word: reading, writing and the like. I have a B.A. in Communication, specifically Advertising and Public Relations. Living in rural Oklahoma, I love the outdoors, cooking, crafting, spending time with my family and traveling. I enjoy a good cheesecake, a good book and getting a good bargain. I strive to model my life after the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, but as a mother, the example of the woman from Proverbs 31 is also something I strive for.

When I hear the words Once Upon A Time, my eyes light up and my ears strain to listen. As an avid reader and lover of stories with happy endings, it is perhaps my favorite […]

What Are You Waiting For?

Today is a day I have been anxiously awaiting for several months. You know how when you’re really excited about something, not only can the waiting be torturous, but you tend to plan the rest […]

Why Do You Go To Church?

January 1, 2016 1

Someone asked me this once and honestly, I didn’t have a good answer for them. You see, I attended church services for a few years before I chose to put on Christ, live for Him […]

To Santa or Not To Santa?

December 15, 2015 1

As a kid, I was allowed to believe in Santa Claus. We would hear stories about Santa, watch Christmas movies (such as one of my all-time favorites, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer), listen to Christmas […]
